Video Analysis & Movement Screening for College Players

Illinois Baseball Edge (Algonquin) is offering a combined movement screening and video analysis to collegiate baseball/softball players now until August 31st.

The movement screening will be performed by our world-class performance therapist, Kathy Ceisel, who is overhead throwing certified and has worked with professional players in seven different sports. The video assessment will be conducted by Ernie Smith, owner of Illinois Baseball Edge, who is an overhead throwing expert in the field. His focus upon long term player development and performance enhancement, with measurable results, is an approach not often found in baseball or softball and has led to significant gains in player development velocity and growth. In recent years that approach has blended well with the evolution of player centric training methods including hyper personalization. 

During the assessements and screenings, we will look at upper body loading and unloading plus lower body loading and unloading, in order to identify top velocity killers in the throwing kinetic chain. We will also be reviewing physical constraints that limit the players throwing potential and will prioritize things to work upon in the Fall/Winter.
